It is a real mecca for surfing and bodyboarding fans, as here the waves are not only great but have the ideal way to use the pranchas.1 The beach of Supertubos is known for its waves up to 3 meters. Supertubos is host to major global and national tournaments surfing, jet skiing, kite surfing, windsurfing and bodyboarding. Some people call the wave of "European Pipeline" because it is characterized by being a very fast and hollow wave as the wave Pipeline in Hawaii. It works well with north wind.
The beach of Supertubos is awarded Blue Flag and is accessible to everyone. The beach with soft sand formation ensures good formation of waves, requiring a good level of surfing. The prevailing winds from NE smooth sea, and prolong the time that the surfer can intubate. The beach is visited by annual competitions WCT, the Rip Curl Pro and European championships. The surfer Tiago Pires consider it the best wave for surfing in the Portuguese coastal region along with the beach of Arrifana
