Florenceonthehill, built on the ruins of an early 19th century barn, is a traditional colonial Tuscan home. The house is cast amongst cypresses and olive trees on Giogoli hill, with breathtaking views of the Certosa of Florence, just fifteen minutes drive away from the city centre. Elegantly restored on three storeys, the house boasts a well-kept private garden and veranda in which guests can relax and enjoy outdoor meals.  Florenceonthehill is ideally situated to visit Florence and its surroundings, as well as the rest of Tuscany. The house is only a few minutes drive away from the motorway exit 'Firenze Impruneta', fifteen minutes from Florence airport, 45 minutes from Siena, and less than 30 minutes drive away from the stunning towns of Impruneta and Greve. As such, Florenceonthehill is the ideal base for holidays aimed at exploring the artistic and cultural heritage of Tuscany, as well as its nature, foods and wines. Florenceonthehill has a private parking space surrounded by olive trees, which leads to the house through a stone staircase. The entrance to the house leads to a large and light living room with a double sofa, satellite tv, stereo and dvd player, an 18th century wooden english fireplace (not in use) and a table seating 8 people. Alongside is a modern, functional and well-equipped kitchen as well as a small bathroom and laundry room.
A modern iron staircase leads to the first floor in which the main bathroom, a studio, wardrobes, and three bedrooms (one single bedroom, one double bedroom with a queensized bed and one bedroom with two single beds). On the ceilings there are old wooden beams and beautiful red clay tiles from the Impruneta.
On the lower level there is a large room with a double sofabed and a play area for children.
In the house, our guests will be able to enjoy a wide selection of games, adult and children books, movies, art catalogues from Tuscany and the rest of Italy. The house is also fully equipped with heaters and air conditioning as well as free wifi. Outside our guests will be able to enjoy a 250sqm garden, rich with well-kept flowerbeds, olive trees, a swing, and a covered veranda with a beautiful cypress wood table hosting up to 14 people. Our guests are also welcome to bring pets.
